Yahoo entered into a search-advertising pact with rival Google. Yahoo will display some ads sold by its rival. Yahoo estimates it will generate $800m in annual revenue. Either party can end the agreement in the event of a change in control. The deal has a termination fee of $250m.

Anheuser-Busch has had preliminary talks with Mexico's Grupo Modelo about a possible merger, according to reports.



Yahoo inked a search deal with Google last night that acts as a poison pill for Microsoft. Bud looks like it’s planning a similar tactic to ward off Inbev by acquiring Mexico's Modelo. Neither offers a better alternative for shareholders - who should resist them.
