While plenty of bank lieutenants followed or preceded their chiefs out of the door, some survived. Merrill’s former CFO at least moved back to banking. But it's curious that Citi's Bob Rubin, UBS's Marco Suter and others are still in their pre-crunch jobs or even got promoted.
