Greg Fleming is leaving as Bank of America’s head of global corporate, commercial and investment banking to take a position at Yale University.

Fleming, 45, is a 1988 graduate of Yale’s law school, where he will become a senior research scholar.

He spent the past 16 years at Merrill Lynch – which was acquired by BofA last week – rising through the ranks as a banker advising on financial institutions deals to the level of president of the firm.
