BAA, the UK airports group, has won its appeal against a Competition Commission ruling that it must sell three of its airports. The Competition Appeal Tribunal concluded "with the greatest reluctance" that a claim by BAA of "apparent bias" was justified. It said it would hear further argument from the parties on remedies, unless the parties were able to reach agreement.

In March the Competition Commission ordered BAA to sell Stansted and either Glasgow or Edinburgh within two years.
