Daily column to appear in print and online in German

London/Dusseldorf, October 1 2007

Handelsblatt is today launching a German language version of breakingviews.com, the premier international financial commentary service. Germany’s leading business newspaper will carry a daily breakingviews column. Several breakingviews comments will also appear every day on www.handelsblatt.com.

The column, which will be published six days a week, will carry punchy, financially-sophisticated opinions on topical issues. It will be written by breakingviews.com’ team of top financial journalists based in London, New York, Washington and Paris.

Bernd Ziesemer, Handelsblatt editor-in-chief said: "breakingviews.com will add a new analytical dimension to our coverage of international companies and world financial markets. Our readers will profit a lot from this cooperation."

Hugo Dixon, editor-in-chief and chairman of breakingviews.com, added: “Handelsblatt is an excellent platform for our breakingviews in Germany, one of Europe’s most bustling and dynamic economies. We are delighted to strike this print and online partnership.”

Breakingviews.com is one of the most influential commentators in international financial markets with subscribers drawn from the world’s leading investment banks, largest hedge funds and institutional investors as well as many corporations and public relations firms.

In addition to its online service, breakingviews.com supplies its market-moving commentary to nine prestigious daily newspapers around the world. These partners include The Wall Street Journal, The Wall Street Journal Europe, Italy’s la Repubblica, and Holland’s NRC Handelsblad.
