Claudio Costamagna and Mervyn Davies to join breakingviews board
Claudio Costamagna and Mervyn Davies are to join the breakingviews board as non-executive directors after the annual general meeting in September.
Claudio is a former chairman of Goldman Sachs’ investment banking business in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Mervyn is chairman of Standard Chartered.

Claudio Costamagna retired from Goldman Sachs in 2006 after 18 years. He was chairman of Goldman’s investment banking division for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Claudio is a non-executive director of Luxottica, Value Partners and Bulgari.
Claudio is chairman of ALUB (the association of graduates from Bocconi University). He was born in 1956.
Mervyn Davies, CBE has been chairman of Standard Chartered PLC since November 2006. Immediately prior to this, Mervyn had been group chief executive. He is also a non-executive director of Tesco and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, and will be chairman of Fleming Family & Partners with effect from September 2007.
Mervyn is chairman of the UK government's Business Council for Britain, chairman of the Interim Executive Committee of the International Centre for Financial Regulation (ICFR) and chairman of the Generations Appeal Fundraising Board of Breakthrough Breast Cancer. He is also a trustee of the Sir Kyffin Williams Trust. Mervyn was awarded a CBE for his services to the financial sector and the community in Hong Kong. He was born in 1952.
