Ebbing U.S. demand offers early warning for OPEC

Saudi Arabia faces a delicate balance at the cartel's upcoming meeting. Having pledged $130 bln to head off domestic unrest, the Kingdom will be less eager to crank up production. But with gas prices already squeezing U.S. consumers, even a less dovish stance could backfire.
