The British driller has been a latecomer to Brazil's deepwater gold rush. With its $7.3 bln purchase of U.S. rival Pride, it enters the market with a bang. For its money Ensco gets a state of the art deepwater fleet. But even allowing for synergies the price tag looks stiff.
