Japan's nuclear mishap risks world energy balance

Even if the steaming reactor is brought under control, fallout from the accident may be significant. The relatively harmless Three Mile Island stopped the U.S. nuclear industry short. If Japan's ardor for nuclear power fades the world would see higher coal and natural gas prices.
