UK bank exodus is not as simple as it sounds
Bank taxes, bonus restrictions and the threat of being forcibly broken up has led lenders to examine shifting their head offices out of London. A move could make financial sense, but would have strategic drawbacks. Future regulation in the UK and elsewhere will be critical.
