Big fat Greek merger

The Greek bank has rejected a 3 bln euro approach from larger rival National Bank of Greece. Its suitor might be able to offer more. But the deal gives Alpha capital and liquidity security, and has been endorsed by the government. It looks too good to risk NBG walking away.
