Dougan, the Credit Suisse boss, says markets are too optimistic. That contrasts with rosier signals from rivals, including Ackermann at Deutsche. Past bank crises point to slow recoveries and Dougan knows the sting of a surprise shock. His cautious note may be worth heeding.
