Oracle’s Larry Ellison has always had a reputation for highprofile bluster. Three months after insisting $6.7bn was his final bid for BEA Systems, Ellison has caved in and agreed to pay $8.5bn. It’s not the first time his bluff has been called, and it might not be the last.
