In 200607, private equity firms raised $105 bln for giant funds, more than all their sub$4.5 bln brethren managed. But since the crisis, smaller funds have dominated. With exits like the $1 blnodd sale of Jimmy Choo attracting notice, even big firms need to make funds smaller.
