Golden railroad

A railroad across Colombia, carrying coal westward and Chinese semimanufactured goods eastward, looks plausible. Colombia’s infrastructure shortage is a major barrier to growth; efficient and rapid Chinese help in providing it could have a huge multiplier effect.
