Precious bubble

The yellow metal’s fortunes waxed as the dollar waned. New investors, disappointed by stocks and property, turned to it as something like a scarce commodity. But gold’s high price now looks a bubble ready to be pricked. A slightly firmer US dollar was enough to do the job.
