Chinese new-age stocks have turned volatile. Loss-making JD, the $40 bln Alibaba-rival, has lost up to one fifth its value since July. The retailer’s focus on sales of big-ticket items make it especially vulnerable to slowing growth and trade tensions. Rivals look more nimble.
