The bank is conducting the $2bnplus sale of fastfood chain Dunkin Brands as its private equity arm, JP Morgan Partners, lines up a bid. It’s the kind of conflict it hoped to avoid by spinning off private equity. Yet it creates a bigger problem for Partners than JP Morgan.
