Both deny the U.S. energy watchdog’s market manipulation charges. But the bank run by Jamie Dimon is apt to settle. The “whale fail” exposed management flaws, but at the expense of shareholders, not customers. Without a U.S. retail footprint, Barclays is in a different boat.
