Firstquarter results were hardly pretty with $5bn of writedowns and reserves against bad loans, and a wobble in equities trading. But JPMorgan still cranked out $2.4bn in profits. That leaves boss Jamie Dimon as one of only a few among his peers with much room to manoeuvre.
