Jumping the Deutsche Boerse deal to buy NYSE’s cash equities unit would require a big premium that would eat up cost savings and a partner to do the same for the rest. For Nasdaq to gear up or dilute shareholders just for a bigger share of a struggling business doesn’t add up.
