Last exit for buyouts

The buyout firms last year raised enough capital to buy companies worth $1.6trn. Even with modest returns, they may look for $2trn of exits. This won’t be easy. Last year, there were only $250bn of exits. The temptation will be to rely heavily on IPOs. But that may lead to a glut.
