Listings on U.S. markets trashed prior records to raise over $300 billion in 2021, fueled by blank-check fever and tech newbies. Examined closely, it isn’t as bubbly as 1999-2000. But even ignoring SPAC indigestion, the performance of newly public shares points to a slowdown.
