The Austrian bank had kept investors waiting on its plan for a 2 bln euro-plus equity hike. Raiffeisen’s need to repay state aid and boost its flimsy capital meant it was a necessity. But with banks’ shares up post-Ireland’s bond offering, the timing looks propitious.
