Greek Alpha bet

National Bank of Greece’s allshare bid for its smaller peer Alpha Bank looks good strategically. But there’s an obstacle noone wants to discuss: NBG would suffer much more than Alpha if Greece defaults. To win, NBG will need to compensate Alpha for that risk and raise its bid.
