Cutting criticism

The hacking scandal has hurt him. Today, low growth means the prime minister’s economic judgement is under fire. Cuts are blamed for the slowdown but, in fact, spending is still rising. Had Cameron been tougher, he could do more now for the economy. What he mustn’t do is weaken.
