Dangerous good intentions

They are on the right track in seeing a stronger renminbi as a good thing. But not in threatening a 27.5% tariff if Beijing doesn’t oblige. Making threats is not a good way to gain Chinese cooperation. And the tariff would be harmful and probably ineffective if implemented.
