The electronics giant has seen Apple, Samsung and other upstarts claim markets it once dominated. It has lost its innovative edge and its brand is tarnished. Shinzo Abe’s hopes of revitalizing the economy could rub off. But even Sony’s turnaround plan seems depressingly familiar.
